Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Consensus AI at useconsensus.ai(the “service”). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. Questions are welcome at support@useconsensus.ai.

The service

Consensus AI sends your question to multiple AI models, shows their individual answers, and synthesizes a single response that highlights where the models agree and disagree. Model availability and features vary by plan and may change as providers evolve.

Your account

  • You must be at least 13 years old to use the service.
  • Provide accurate account information and keep your credentials secure — activity under your account is your responsibility.
  • Tell us promptly at support@useconsensus.ai if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.

Plans, billing, and cancellation

  • The service offers a free tier with limited usage and paid monthly subscriptions with larger allowances. Payments are processed by Stripe.
  • Paid subscriptions renew automatically each month until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your billing settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep paid access until then.
  • Usage allowances meter how much you can use the models on your plan within a billing period. Unused allowance does not carry over unless we say otherwise.
  • We may change prices or plan allowances prospectively; we will give you notice before changes affect an active subscription.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service for unlawful purposes or to harm others.
  • Attempt to breach, probe, or overload the service or its infrastructure, or access other users’ data.
  • Resell or provide automated bulk access to the service without our written permission.
  • Use the service in ways that violate the usage policies of the underlying AI model providers.

Your content and AI output

  • You keep all rights to the prompts you submit. You give us the limited license needed to process them — routing them to the AI models you select and storing your chat history — solely to provide the service.
  • To the extent we hold any rights in AI-generated responses to your prompts, we assign them to you. You are responsible for how you use them.
  • AI output can be wrong. Responses are generated by statistical models and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated — even when several models agree. The service does not provide professional (legal, medical, financial, or other) advice. Verify important information independently before relying on it.

Our intellectual property

The service itself — including its software, design, and branding — belongs to Consensus AI and its licensors. These terms do not grant you any rights in it beyond normal use of the service.

Termination

You may stop using the service or request account deletion at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or create risk for the service or other users; where reasonable, we will warn you first.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above, and significant changes will be announced by email or in the app. Continuing to use the service after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
