Release notes
Every change we ship, newest first.
The single-model mode has a clearer name. Nothing else about it changed.
Pick how hard a model thinks before it answers, from Off to High where the model supports it. Higher levels give it more room to work through hard questions.
A council's summary is never left blank, and one that could not be written no longer looks unfinished.
You can now email support straight from the home page, the sign-in pages and the account menu.
Long, detailed questions in Auto mode now get the council format that suits them.
When a question needs current information, the assistant searches the web and links its sources.
The assistant now answers first, finishes the whole task and makes sensible assumptions instead of asking you to clarify.
Auto mode now reliably matches the council's format to your question, and one model being down no longer costs you the summary.
Chats and councils know the current date and your local time, and can work out dates, gaps between dates and times in other time zones.
The privacy policy now names the service that helps us find and fix crashes, and a rare full crash now gives you a way back.
Signing in on a new device or in a private window no longer brings the tour back.
Notification switches now show on or off, settings stay put as you move around, and Choose your plan has a way back.
If you pay for a plan, the plans page no longer also marks the free Basic plan as your current plan.
Turn one council into a page you can send to anyone, and stop sharing whenever you like.
A link can now open a council with your question already written. A question that arrives in a link no longer sends itself.
After you verify your email we ask where you heard about us, and the privacy policy now explains what we record.
Deleting your account now needs your password, so nobody else using your signed-in browser can close it.
On a long question, a council member could spend its whole reply thinking and answer nothing. It now leaves room to answer.
The Basic plan now includes eleven models, so you can put stronger models on your council without upgrading.
On the Basic plan, new chats now open in Consensus with three models ready, so one click shows where they agree and where they don't.
In most countries outside Canada, checkout now lets you pay in your own currency or in US dollars, the currency shown on the site.
If your sign-up email hasn't shown up yet, we now point you to your spam folder and give the first email a minute to arrive before offering another.
The homepage now shows a council at work and describes only what Consensus AI does today.
When you sign out, your account, sidebar and chats now leave the screen right away instead of staying until you reload the page.
Canadian prices are now fixed in Canadian dollars, and in most other countries checkout lets you pay in your own currency.
Council answers now end with the answer itself, without a row of token counts underneath.
Your usage now reflects what each answer actually costs, and a model that can't answer no longer leaves you without a reply.
The model picker now always offers each model's newest version and shows its full name. Claude Haiku joins the free plan, and Meta's models join paid plans.
Our first numbered release: everything Consensus AI does today, from council answers to documents, sharing and plans. From now on, every change we ship gets a note like this one.
